The partners and staff of the Neffsville Veterinary Clinic located in historic and peaceful Lancaster, Pennsylvania are seeking an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to join their large and rapidly growing 8 DVM practice. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, or possess a strong interest in achieving certification in the near future.
Neffsville Veterinary Clinic has been serving the Lancaster community for over 45 years and has developed a very loyal clientele. We pride ourselves on a friendly work environment with an emphasis on client education and staff education, and reinforcing the human-animal bond.
We are looking for a candidate with "Take Charge" leadership qualities, the ability to work independently and the desire to help refine our team's potential. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is required and experience with Cornerstone software, and Quickbooks, is highly valued.
At least 3 years of veterinary practice management experience is preferred, as is a BA/BS in a business related field. The ideal candidate will be a CVPM, or CVPM eligible. Experienced veterinary managers with either a PHR or SHRM-CP human resources certification are also encouraged to apply. Individuals interested in the position must be compassionate, cheerful, possess strong leadership skills and have a good work ethic.
Responsibilities include day-to-day operations with a major focus on strong human resources & personnel management responsibilities including hiring, training and leading the team. A strong commitment to client service skills is imperative to be successful in this position. Other valuable experience includes strong initiative, enjoyment of a job well done, ability to work independently, knowledge of billing, payroll, accounts receivable, inventory control, and experience holding staff meetings and conducting performance reviews.
Strong leadership, time management and communication skills are a must. Successful applicants must be able to adequately assess the overall performance of the practice, assess and refine the hospital's marketing plans, participate in the establishment and achievement of goals, analyze and implement new services, products or procedures, and present data and ideas for improvement to the practice owner.

Our staff to doctor ratio is greater than 4:1. Our technician to doctor ratio is greater than 1:1, We have over 50 support staff including several Certified Veterinary Technicians, assistant managers, coordinators and team leads. Our normal work schedules are flexible.
