A busy racetrack veterinary team is looking for a hardworking veterinarian to join our practice.  We are based out of Santa Anita Park (Arcadia, CA) and have been in business for over 20 years.  Our clientele primarily includes high-end racing thoroughbreds and hunter/jumpers.  We are equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, shockwave, IRAP and ProStride, nuclear medicine, endoscopy/gastroscopy and a fully equipped surgical facility for orthopedic and upper airway surgeries.  We are looking for a veterinarian that is interested in sports medicine and can handle the exciting and fast paced atmosphere of the racetrack.

Benefits include:  professional dues and licenses, health and liability insurance, fully equipped vet truck and gas card, continuing education and cell phone stipends.

Hours vary according the racing season and schedule.  Shared on call is required but rarely needed.  

Position is geared to applicant.  Interns, full and part time applicants are welcome to apply.

 

Requirements included: valid California driver's license and USDA accreditation.  Must be licensed veterinarian and able to practice in the state of California.

Must be comfortable around horses and with general practice.  Experience with equine lameness would be a plus.  

 The successful applicant must be a team player with a good attitude and strong communication skills.
