Are you looking for a practice where you will be recognized for your contributions and where you are able to excel at high quality veterinary care? Then look no more!  Desert View Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic professional to join their team as an associate veterinarian. 

 

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with our clients and their pets
  • Use your broad knowledge of veterinary medicine to provide optimal patient care
  • Use good judgement in patient assessment, diagnostics and therapeutics, along with the ability to identify and communicate this knowledge to team members and clients
  • Ask clients questions about their pet’s health and explain the pet’s diagnoses and treatment plan in terms that clients can understand
  • Educate clients about preventive care and what they can do enhance their pet’s health and quality of life

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Have thorough knowledge of canine and feline medicine
  • Possess general soft tissue surgery skills
  • Possess good diagnostic skills along with thorough record keeping
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy working individually and as a team with a great work ethic
  • Have strong people skills, focusing on quality of care and assuring client satisfaction
  • Share in our commitment to compassionate client care
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills

Although not required, the ideal candidate for this position would also:

  • Have an interest in and skills related to dentistry and more advanced surgeries

Requirements:

  • Licensed and eligible to practice in Wyoming
  • 3 years’ experience working in a veterinary practice preferred but will consider new graduates

Desert View Animal Hospital is a 2 FTE DVM practice that is predominantly small animal, but there is also opportunity for the associate veterinarian to see some exotic, equine and large animal patients, if desired. With a history of over 20 years in the community, we are a well-established practice with a great clientele who are devoted to their pets.  Our employees enjoy working here because we recognize the importance of the relationships between humans and animals and we see our clients and patients as extended family.

 

Desert View Animal Hospital is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care to our patients and clients. Our hospital is equipped with a full lab, advanced dentistry and digital radiography equipment.  We have an established referral network for both large and small animals.  You will have well-trained team members who will provide the support you need as a doctor to excel and make a difference in the lives of pets and people.
