We are seeking a full time mixed or small animal practitioner for our 30 year old mixed animal practice in Northeast Michigan. Our practice sees companion animal, food animal, equine and the occasional exotic. The area is very rural but many of our clients own second homes in our area. We have a fully equipped Idexx in-house laboratory, digital radiology and a new SonoScape Ultrasound. Our practice has 4 veterinary technicians with an excellent support staff. If you want to practice in an area with a down home feel and friendly small town atmosphere, this is the place for you. We believe in continually improving our skills in diagnostic treatments, surgery and customer service.
At this time, we do limited orthopedic work but that could be an area for expansion. We would also like to expand our reproductive and cardiology services. We would love a doctor with excellent surgical skills, well versed in ultrasound techniques and a rockstar at client communications. We believe in keeping our clients in the loop at all times during their animals' treatment.
Our area is in the heart of the Huron National Forest. It is an outdoorspersons paradise.
Unfortunately, the closest emergency service is 2 hours away so some emergency work will be required. The upside of this is that you sometimes get to do some pretty rare and cool procedures and surgeries. We share the emergency workload with a few clinics from the area for weekends and holidays.
We need a skilled veterinarian who is willing to bring his or her compassion and enthusiasm as well as an award winning smile to our area.
We have a competitive compensation package. Please contact by email or phone.
