Perfect Opportunity for a Certified Veterinary Technician seeking employment at a Veterinary Hospital. Candidate needs to have a positive, outgoing and up-beat personality and be able to multi-task in a team environment. We are an established 9 doctor small-animal practice committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and client education. Our companion animal facility is AAHA certified and equipped with all the diagnostic and medical equipment necessary to deliver above standard care; and our engaged and well-trained team works with efficiency and compassion. Our team is focused on the Fear Free Initiative and strives to prevent fear, stress and anxiety for both our patients and clients. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience and Education:

  • High School graduate

  • Preferred graduate of an accredited veterinary medicine program recommended or working experience as a technician in a companion animal hospital, is helpful

  • State certification, preferred

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Must understand and have a good working knowledge of job related technology, medical terms, and procedures

  • Must have the ability to work independently, follow instructions, work well with others, and give attention to detail

  • Must possess general computer skills and be able to operate the organization’s computer programs
