Our hospital is located just 55 miles northwest of New York City allowing you to enjoy all of the amenities of a big city while relaxing in the country life. Warwick boasts hundred of hiking and biking trails including portions of the Appalachian Trail. Year round, wineries, artisans, farmers markets and music are part this areas' charm.
Human Resource responsibilities under the guidance of the Chief Veterinary Officer will include recruitment, training and management of personnel.
Managerial responsibilities in coordination with the office manager and hospital manager will provide inventory control, profit center analysis and evaluative and advisory support.
Client outreach responsibilities include maintaining social media, on-line presence and conducting surveys and implementing procedural changes to enhance the client experience.
Ability to lead with kindness and by example.
Ability to create and communicate new guidelines to improve work flow and client experience.
Provide constructive feedback to enhance team understanding and proficiency with new protocols.
Communicate with clients and provide concierge level experience to help bond them with our practice.
Experience with practice management software including comparing new cloud based software.
Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Docs
Manage on-line pharmacy and pet portal
Manage social media and client communication
Prioritize tasks and manage short and long-range projects
Confidence with developing budgets and analysis of veterinary metrics
knowledge of veterinary medicine, terminology, equipment and treatment protocols that meet AAHA requirements
Dedication to employee relations and patient care
Multi-tasking and calm management in stressful conditions
Preference will be given to those candidates with a background in business, sales, and veterinary medicine.
CVPM certification, Veterinary Technician license, and/or undergraduate degree related to business is preferred.
