Spay Illinois Pet Well Clinics offers high-quality, affordable and accessible spay /neuter and wellness services to pet owners, animal shelters, 501(c)(3) rescue organizations and feral cat caretakers. Spay Illinois started in 2009, and has grown to serve over 17,000 pets a year.
As a Spay Illinois team member, you’ll have the opportunity to practice the different aspects of delivering high-quality anesthesia, surgery, and wellness services to dogs, and cats.
We’re looking for team members to join our surgery and wellness team. Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting veterinarians as needed; following all company policies and procedures; safe restraint of patients; checking in clients and patients; assisting clients with consent forms; calculating post-op medication doses; venipuncture; intubation; catheter placement; maintaining impeccable and thorough records; discharging patients; cleaning surgery instruments; packing surgery packs; cleaning cages and work areas; stocking supplies; supervising volunteers; answering post-op questions; and maintaining clinic equipment.
We prefer that the candidate have private practice, spay neuter clinic, or shelter experience in surgery, but we will train the right technician. Additionally, the candidate must fit the following description: hard working; positive attitude; prompt; ability to interact positively with team members, clients, volunteers, clinic site hosts and vendors; ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis; flexibility in scheduling, including working long shifts, some weekend and evening hours as required, open and fair communicator; detail-oriented; and skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
