Do you love surgery? Or maybe you want an opportunity to learn or perfect new surgical techniques? Are you passionate about working towards ending the euthanasia of healthy adoptable animals? Southern Alliance Spay Neuter Clinic may be the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon. The position is presently three days a week but we are hoping to add a fourth day soon. SASNC is a non-profit spay/neuter clinic whose mission is to reduce animal homelessness and needless euthanasia by providing high-quality, affordable spay/neuter services to our community. We’ve been open for 3 years, and have performed over 8,000 canine and feline sterilizations. In addition to serving community members with their own animals, SASNC partners with our local shelter and several rescue groups to ensure that animals coming out of these groups are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Southern Alliance Spay Neuter Clinic does not provide wellness services, with the exception of offering vaccines, canine heartworm tests, feline combo tests, and deworming at the time of surgery only. We also do not service sick or injured animals. Therefore, our doctors have very limited direct interaction with clients, allowing them to focus just on surgery. And there are no weekends involved. The staff at SASNC is friendly, well-trained, and committed to achieving our mission. We adhere to strict, high-quality protocols to ensure the highest degree of patient safety. Our salary is competitive, our cost of living is lower than most areas, and we are only 25 miles north of Huntsville, Alabama and 100 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee. Interested? We’d love to talk to you! Please send a resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org.
