The Spartanburg Humane Society is seeking a skilled surgeon to perform high volume spay and neuter surgery for animals adopted from our facility as well as possibly performing spay/neuter surgeries for our low-income public. This skilled individual would be responsible for maintaining the productive flow of the surgery suite, supervising the surgery techs and ensuring that all surgical documentation is accurate and complete. In certain circumstances you might be asked to consult on issues involving shelter animals and perform the required veterinary exams for animals leaving for transports to other states. Being able to be a “team player” is mandatory and your ability to set an example of “working smart not hard” is critical.
The Spartanburg Humane Society, through community support, has gone from a 10% live-release rate to a 90% live-release rate so we need a team of strong, smart, hard-working individuals to take us to the next level for the animals in our community.
Spartanburg Humane Society is a 501C3 privately funded organization. We are an open admissions shelter with a low income wellness clinic, high volume spay neuter clinic, and rescue, Humane Education and adoption programs.
