Seeking a compassionate veterinarian with a passion for helping pets and their people.
If you are passionate about the veterinary profession, and desire to practice high quality medicine and surgery with a compassionate, fun and caring team, we are looking for you!
We are a mixed animal practice that puts emphasis on quality compassionate care for our patients and clients. We provide a fun and supportive environment for our professional team enabling them to excel in their fields. Our talented and experienced veterinarians have a vast range of expertise in equine and small animal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and alternative therapeutics. Our exceptional clientele affords us the luxury of practicing the highest quality veterinary medicine and surgery, as they are willing to go the extra mile to ensure the health and wellness of their pets. Casper Animal Medical Center (CAMC) is equipped with the newest laser, laboratory and digital imagery equipment. This combination allows us to be excellent mentors to younger veterinarians with a desire to excel in their field.
Recently relocated, former CAMC veterinarian, Dr. Margot Fairbanks states "My experience at CAMC was excellent. Having started at CAMC as a fresh graduate, I was spoiled by the quality and scope of diagnostic tools available including, but not limited to: digital x-ray, blood and chem machines, an ultrasound and both large and small animal endoscopes. It is a busy clinic that tends to be the "go to" emergency clinic in Casper, so the caseload is extensive and full of variety. The veterinarians, technicians, and support staff currently at the clinic are a pleasure to work with, and if my personal life had not taken me away from Casper, I would continue to work there happily. This is a great job for a compassionate, driven and gregarious multitask-er with a good sense of humor. The possibilities to expand and specialize within the practice are abundant if you are willing to put in the work! The doctors already working at the clinic are great colleagues and will be an asset to incoming veterinarians regardless of the new hire's level of experience."
Another former CAMC veterinarian, Dr. Emily Tooker, writes “I spent the first four years of my veterinary career at Casper Animal Medical Center and as a result, have obtained many lessons and experiences that have furthered my veterinary career in a positive way. The clinic itself is an up-to-date facility that provides the perfect balance of technology and skilled staff that allows a veterinarian to succeed while practicing high-level medicine and surgery.
While working at CAMC, I found one of the most appealing points about the clinic itself was not a tangible object, although there are plenty worth noting, but the staff themselves. I had never, nor have I since, worked with a group of people so dedicated to the clients and patients they serve. Teamwork at CAMC is a daily mantra and one of the reasons that even the busiest, longest, most exhausting day was manageable was because you were not doing it alone.
Casper Animal Medical Center is already a progressive, fast-paced hospital with a knowledgeable and hardworking staff. What it needs is the veterinarian to keep up with patients and the clients and the high quality services people are used to receiving; a passionate veterinarian willing and eager to give to the practice as much as the practice has to provide.
I learned every day I showed up to work at CAMC. I was rewarded with healthy patients and loyal clients. I worked hard and developed professional connections I will have the rest of my life. My time at CAMC is something that has shaped me into the veterinarian I am today and something I would not trade.”
CAMC is looking for a primarily small animal associate who would be comfortable with, or willing to expand their knowledge of equine medicine with mentorship. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in exotics. Future ownership opportunities exist for the right candidate.
The city of Casper is centrally located in the state of Wyoming and thus provides reasonable access to all of the state’s recreational attractions. Casper is a relatively small city, but has all of the "big city" amenities with friendly people, and an abundance of outdoor activities. Skiing, mountain biking, fishing and hiking are all minutes away.
Compensation will consist of a base salary plus a production bonus (base salary is commensurate to level of experience), 401k and profit sharing available after 1 year of employment, continuing education, state of Wyoming license, liability insurance, and continuing education is provided.
