65% Small Animal, 35% Large Animal. Rural community located in the mountains of central Utah. Big city 1 hour away. Seeking an individual who is committed to practicing high quality and practical rural veterinary medicine/surgery and is capable to working with multiple species each day. Must be a team player and be willing to work hard day in and day out. Clinical duties include surgical and medical cases in dogs, cats, horses, beef cattle, pigs, sheep and occasional exotics. We are a true mixed animal clinic who puts equal emphasis on large and small animals. Shared emergency duty is expected.
In house blood machines including chemistry analyzer, cbc, fibrinogen, act/pt/ptt, blood gases, lactate, etc. In house digital radiography, high and low speed dental drill with polisher/scaler. 2 ultrasounds with both large and small animal abdominal, rectal and musculoskeletal capabilities. Isoflurane anesthesia machines, bone plating kit, mobile veterinary unit mounted on a Ford F-150 pickup for farm calls, Cardell anesthesia monitor (ETC02, SP02, printable ECG, blood pressure etc), Avimark practice management software with fully paperless medical records.
We have trained technicians that are well versed in taking radiographs, running bloodwork, prepping animals for anesthesia, dedicated tech during anesthesia etc. Wonderful hard working support staff that loves their job.
New outdoor covered equine facility with stalls, stocks and phantom mare. We will be standing stallions for live cover and shipped semen for the 2017 breeding season.

Our clinic is dedicated to the community. We run a clinic sponsored Read To A Dog Program in the local elementary school to increase literacy among 4th graders, we are the designated on-call veterinarians for the local 4th of July Rodeo, participate in the 4th of July Parade, hold 4-5 city sponsored vaccine clinics in the months of February, March and April. We present at the Snow College Farm Safety course each spring to teach young kids how to avoid common accidents around livestock and livestock handling equipment. We hold an annual equine vaccine clinic. We have a cattle producer educational meeting each year. We have high school student intern program for those interested in someday becoming a veterinarian, have college students who shadow the veterinarians, and have had many vet school externs spend time at our practice.
