Upper Keys Veterinary Hospital seeks a veterinarian to join our busy medical, surgical, and full service hospital facility. We are located in Islamorada, the Village of Islands, a resort fishing and scuba diving community 50 miles south of Miami and 75 miles north-east of Key West. Upper Keys Veterinary Hospital practices contemporary allopathic and alternative medicine. The senior veterinarian is a certified veterinary acupuncturist (Chi Institute). The hospital is equipped with laboratory diagnostics, digital body and dental radiography and ultrasound, and Companion and K-laser therapy units, surgical support monitors, and a contemporary pharmacy. The position is full-time and involves all aspects of veterinary care. You will be responsible for the medical, surgical and emergency care of our diverse clientele. The practice has strong community ties. The employment package includes seasonal vacation, health insurance stipend, federal and state licensing fees, malpractice insurance, national and county professional memberships, continuing education time and stipend allowance. Intellectual curiosity and an interest in surgery and ultrasound are positives. A long term relationship is desired. The position is available immediately, you must have an active Florida license. The position is full-time and involves all aspects of veterinary medicine, surgery, emergency care, and animal husbandry. You will integrate with our four full-time veterinarians and growing staff in our large free-standing building. The work week generally is four and one-half to five days.
Your salary, vacation, health insurance, continuing education and benefit package are dependent upon veterinary skills, general and life experience, and CVT certification. Salary is open, experience and other factors influence salary package. Salary will be industry standard. A long term relationship is desired and management focus is possible.
