Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists is offering the unique opportunity of a 12.5 month rotating internship. The primary focus will be internal medicine, surgery and emergency and critical care. Each intern will have the opportunity to tailor their elective weeks to focus on any specialty service in which they desire greater exposure.
The program will provide sufficient case management, and exposure to specialty care and advanced diagnostics to produce graduates that practice high quality general or emergency medicine and surgery. Graduates will have a good understanding of when a referral to a specialist is appropriate and will be well prepared to transition into a specialty training program (residency) if desired.
