SoBran is currently seeking a Facility Manager for our Browns Summit, North Carolina location.
Understand and ensure staff and facility users follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance Standards
Set and clarify goals for technical and husbandry staff; prioritize and coordinate work schedules
Report all animal and personnel issues and concerns to the appropriate chain of command
Oversee and execute study schedules and timelines for assigned contract research studies
Assist study manager in organizing resources in support of contract research studies
Communicate with the client, study director, and upper management regarding assigned projects
Assist with contract research study technical tasks including data collection, dose administration (IV, IP, PO, IM), surgical procedures, blood collection, euthanasia, and tissue collection
Author and revise facility SOPs as needed
Assist in the development and execution of facility training program
Perform IACUC post approval monitoring inspections as directed
Conduct performance reviews
Maintain facility logs, study paperwork, and equipment records
Provide regular project status reports
Perform all other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in animal or biological sciences
Certification by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) as a Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG)
Must have 7 years of experience in a laboratory animal facility, at least 3 years of which are in a supervisory role
Must have experience coordinating research studies under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) conditions and be knowledgeable of FDA regulations
Must have proficiency in a wide variety of technical procedures working with various large and small animal species
