Nandi Veterinary Associates is searching for their first associate! We are a reproduction focused practice with both a clinic and ambulatory component. Our clients range from backyard breeders and pet horse owners to large commercial breeders. The majority of the clinical work is Standardbreds with all breeds being represented in the ambulatory portion. We need someone who can hit the ground running with mare work. As you would expect, we are extremely busy in the spring with foaling mares, examining foals, breeding mares, etc. We perform embryo transfer with an onsite recipient mare herd and collect a variety of stallions. The fall is much slower and would allow for the development of other areas of equine practice.
On call will be equally shared and the associate will receive 100% of the emergency fee. We currently average 2-3 emergencies per month.
Compensation would be salary based on experience plus percentage. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, CE, Licenses, Liability/license defense insurance, AVMA, AAEP dues, Simple IRA. The practice provides a vehicle and equipment.
Licensure in Pennsylvania and Maryland is required.
New Freedom is located in Southeastern Pennsylvania on the Maryland border. We are 45 minutes from Baltimore, 1.5 hours from Washington, DC, 45 minutes from Gettysburg, 1.5 hours from Philadelphia and 20 minutes from York.
