Associate DVM needed for busy, client-oriented general small animal practice near Charleston, WV. All experience levels considered. Mentoring available, as co-operation between associates is encouraged to provide the best possible patient care. Currently the practice is limited to canine and feline patients, with the occasional pocket pet. Management is willing to discuss incorporating new areas of clinical practice based on any new skills an additional DVM would bring to our hospital. 5000 sq ft modern hospital. 4 exam rooms, well-stocked pharmacy, Abaxis and Idexx in house laboratory equipment, Antech and Idexx external laboratory services if needed, 2 dental tub work stations, double surgery suite, separate isolation ward, digital radiology, GE ultrasound, and Companion therapy laser. Work schedule allows for work-life balance. No after hours on call due to local emergency clinic support. Experienced office manager and support staff. Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures
Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive health care
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records
Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing
Able to work collaboratively with hospital team members.
Manages time and tasks appropriately.
DVM license in good standing
