Enjoy practicing high-quality medicine in a privately owned veterinary clinic near beautiful Lake Norman!

Mooresville Animal Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for a veterinarian to join our privately owned/operated practice in Mooresville, NC. We are located near the scenic Lake Norman and are only 20-25 miles from downtown Charlotte. Mooresville is home to many Nascar teams, Lowes cooperate headquarters, and has a nationally recognized school system. Charlotte is a sprawling city with wonderful attractions such as restaurants, shopping, the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and Bank of America Stadium. Go Panthers!

The ideal candidate will live and breathe our mission to build lifelong relationships with our patients, their families, and our team. We are looking for someone that shows compassionate, patient and detail-oriented care for pets, and still being personable, straight-forward,and empathetic with their owners. In other words, you’ll love your role and you’ll be eager to jump in and do what it takes to meet our growing client base made up of new patients, as well as long-time friends of the hospital. You’ll have full buy-in to our values of being personable, compassionate, efficient, and detail-oriented. You’ll utilize your sound medical judgment and competent medical and surgical care while you:
- Examine pets to provide diagnosis, treatments, and preventative care
- Perform surgeries, dental's, and refer to our boarded surgeon or referral hospital when needed
- Triage, stabilize, and treat if able, true medical emergencies
- Educate your clients and promote animal health
- Serve as a role model to our staff and the public
- Enhance the reputation and financial well-being of the hospital

Our practice has state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, consulting ultrasound, IDEXX in-house lab equipment, K-Laser, and a full surgical suite and pharmacy. We are a paperless office with electronic practice management software and medical record system. We have a excellent support staff that you will find wonderful to work with!

Among other expectations, you’ll be using your strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, through the course of interaction with our clients. This includes written estimates for diagnostic and treatment plans so that clients have a full understanding, offering comprehensive care to every patient every time. Of course there’s appropriate documentation that will be required daily, and a focus on efficiently seeing appointments and walk-ins. When you decide this is the opportunity you’ve been hoping for, email us your cover letter and resume right away to begin the application process.

You’ll find yourself excited about flexible hours, and also eager to start with a generous salary (depending on experience level 80k (new grad)-105k (experienced vet)) and commissions based on performance and productivity, health insurance, 401K, CE and wonderful clients. We are also offering a signing bonus for the successful completion of the first 90 days and another bonus at 6 months (total 5-10k depending again on experience and productivity).

Our expansion into emergency after hours care this coming summer will allow the right person to also insert their personal ideas and engagement into this exciting time if they chose to take an interest in that part of our hospital!

Please email resumes to mtclonin@gmail.com or call Dr. Cloninger at 704-450-5325.
