Since 1981, Pet Emergency Centers have been providing after-hours emergency care to the pet owners of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County in sunny South Florida. Our hospital team is made up of highly experienced Emergency Veterinarians and Certified Veterinary Technicians.
We are looking for full-time or part-time Veterinarians who enjoy the challenges of ER work while still maintaining a great quality of life. The schedule is a 3 or 4 night work week with a very competitive salary. Experienced candidates are preferred, however, new graduates will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
Current students seeking an externship are welcome to contact us regarding potential opportunities. We know how important it is to feel supported as you transition from veterinary school to a new practice. We are able to provide a mentorship program for new graduates lead by our medical director/practice owner. With the support of our staff, our New Graduates have developed into confident and skilled emergency clinicians that have remained a part of our growing team.

For over 35 years the Pet Emergency Centers have been providing Broward County after hours care for their canines, felines, small mammals, and reptiles with our team of experienced Emergency Veterinarians and Technicians. We are open every night as well as 24-hours on weekends and holidays. We provide a range of services from minor emergencies to major surgeries, ultrasound, radiology, in house labs, and more.
