About the Dyer Animal Clinic

In November 2013, Dr. Farrell, with over 30 years of veterinary experience, and her husband purchased the Dyer Animal Clinic from Dr. DeVries (retired).  Since then, we have been constantly growing.  Since the purchase, we have hired three veterinarians, and still we see a need to hire one (1) to two (2) more full-time veterinarians.

The building was remodeled 10 years ago, to update the facility and to allow for growth.  The physical structure of the Dyer Animal Clinic is approximately 2500 square feet with four (4) exam rooms with three (3) lift tables. We have a surgical suite, kennel area, X-ray room, food storage, lab/pharmacy area, and laundry room. Avimark is our clinic software and we use VetsFirstChoice as our on-line pharmacy.  Our future plans include a new larger facility in Dyer, Indiana and to create several satellite locations in Northwest Indiana.

Over the last five years, we decided to make changes at the Dyer Animal Clinic to provide the best, up-to-date healthcare.  Below is a list of improvements at the Dyer Animal clinic.

April 2015 – Companion Laser Therapy

March 2016 - hired our first highly skilled certified veterinary surgery technician to monitor surgeries.

July 2016 - acquired Surgivet Oxygen/Heart Rate Monitor (

August 2016 – acquired Midmark Digital Dental Radiographs and the Midmark High Speed Dental unit

October 2016 - Heska Intravenous Fluid Pump

January 2018 - New Digital Radiography

June 2018 – hired our second certified veterinary technician

July 2018 – Land purchase in Dyer, Indiana for larger veterinary facility

Every current and future veterinarian(s) received or will receive training from Dr. Cindy Charlier, one of the top board-certified doctors in Veterinary Dentistry in the Midwest.

All doctors are required to wear white smocks along with casual attire or scrubs (no jeans).  The veterinarian is welcome to shadow and initially scheduled to work with Dr. Farrell. This training will entail business acumen of the clinic, public relations to the clients, and to develop bonds with future clients.

We are seeking both experienced and newly graduated individuals to join out dedicated and enthusiastic veterinary team.
