Compassion-First Pet Hospitals is looking for a passionate and motivated Veterinary Health & Safety Manager to join our Safety & Health team to ensure our company’s positive safety culture.
We are looking for a strong communicator who can implement safety systems across the entire network to promote workplace safety policy and procedures. You will use your current skills to deliver training programs as well as perform auditing, mentoring, and influencing all levels of the business that encompasses all our hospital locations.

Veterinary Technician with at least 3 years’ experience and knowledge in veterinary medicine specialty & referral*
Minimum of 2 years of experience with safety protocols (former supervisory experience a plus)*
An enthusiastic and determined “can-do” attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong self-leadership and motivation to set priorities
Effective time management skills
Assigned office location is Tinton Falls, NJ
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Provide current, accurate, and timely safety and health guidance to management consistent with Federal and State regulations, OSHA regulations, NRC, NIOSH, ANZI, and USP.
Perform workplace assessments and job hazard analyses
Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure ongoing compliance
Analyze performance to identify and monitor accident trends, especially targeting high-risk/high-cost areas and recommend appropriate risk management strategies
Deliver specific safety and health-related training programs
Create reports and training deliverables with strong MS Office skills
Effectively communicate with all levels of management and employees within the business
Ability to think creatively to achieve outcomes
Promote and implement a positive safety culture
