Are you looking for a job where you can really make a difference? Do your passions include saving animals lives, reducing pet overpopulation, stopping animal cruelty, and helping families keep their pets healthy, happy and safe at home? We have the job for you! The Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department is looking for a full time veterinarian to help with our new Public Outreach Program. This program will reach out to the under-served areas of our community, striving to help those pets who never get to see a veterinarian and those owners who would never otherwise have a chance to get veterinary advice. Our Public Outreach veterinarian will work closely with our animal control officers to organize programs that will provide vaccinations, spay/neuter vouchers, microchips and education to the homeless and low income members of our community. If you want to change lives, help animals, and make a difference EVERY DAY, this job may be for you!
Licensed DVM in New Mexico or ability to have license in hand by hire date.
