The Family Pet, Seattle’s most progressive, high tech, high touch veterinary hospital seeks a Practice Manager to help take us to the next level.
Duties
Implement the visions and goals of the company president
Ensure that the medical, financial and client/patient care standards of the practice are being met or exceeded on a daily basis
Required tasks include management of:
Finances- Analysing financial reports and KPIs, devising business strategies to maximize productivity and revenue, budgeting and reducing costs, routine reporting to owner/CPA, AR, AP, sales tracking, productivity tracking
Inventory – monitoring, ordering, budgeting and controlling costs
Facilities- monitoring and scheduling cleaning and repairs of building, grounds, and equipment
Advertising and Marketing- write copy for web site, brochures and POS advertising, write informational documents, implement advertising ideas, direct web designer daily on updates to website and other social media
Client care and reputation management – respond to customer complaints and negative online reviews, represent clinic at official events
Training –implement and conduct regular staff training and biweekly staff meeting
“Putting out Fires“ and handling emergent issues when they arise
Special projects – Execute projects assigned to achieve our mission and develop our business. There is no script for this. The candidate will be expected to bring necessary resources to solve problems, think out of the box and achieve these goals in a successful and timely manner.
Renumeration:

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business with experience and proven success in progressive practice management is required. Must be able to read and evaluate financial reports. Must have employment history of honesty, loyalty, responsibility, warmth and excellence.
Preference will be given to candidates who are Certified Veterinary Practice Managers or have demonstrated success in medical marketing or business development

The Family Pet is a full service Veterinary Hospital located in the Ballard Neighborhood of Seattle for over 75 years. We provide high quality, compassionate care with an emphasis on treating each patient as an individual, getting a firm diagnosis and treating with the most successful therapy.We provide services to dogs and cats as well as pocket pets at The Family Pet. Our Barnyard Pet Vet Division serves urban and rural livestock such as goats, miniature pigs and miniature donkeys. Located on site is our NewTom Computed Tomography machine where we run CT scans on in-house and referral patients. We are well equipped with digital dental radiography and high speed dental unit, whole body digital radiography, Elleman radio-surgical unit, cold laser therapy, latest in-house lab equipment and fully integrated electronic medical records.We have 5 veterinarians, 2 LVT's and a dozen lay staff providing 7 day a week veterinary care and boarding for all species. The practice has been owned by Dr Carrie Schneider for 12 years.
