City Pets Animal Care is small animal practice in downtown Nashville, near the Germantown Neighborhood that opened in April 2017. We are looking for a highly motivated associate to help us grow and expand. Why City Pets? City Pets was founded just over 2 year ago and is a busy, growing, exciting, and innovative small animal hospital that places value on company culture. City Pets has the latest technology and equipment: Ultrasound, Digital Dental x-ray, Digital Full Body DR radiology, Suction, Bovie Electrocautery, Class IV Cold Laser, advanced surgical procedures and electronic medical records. We also practice Acupuncture with E-Stim and have a chiropractor on call as needed. We practice gold standard medicine and are looking for an associate that will do the same. We have a boarded Radiologist for advanced ultrasound procedures. We have a mobile orthopedic surgeon for in-house orthopedic cases who is willing to mentor about surgeries, and we perform extensive dental procedures and soft tissue surgeries with hospitalization post-op. We value the approach that not all clients and patients are the same, and so not all treatments should be either. City Pets takes an innovative approach to pain management, anxiety and behavioral issues and we practice Fear Free medicine. What We Want: City Pets is looking for a motivated, fun associate with a great sense of humor and desire to connect with patients and clients. We are also open to a new or recent grad who is hungry for mentorship, professional challenges, communication learning and someone who wants to be the best doctor they can be. Our ideal candidate understands that relationships with clients fosters professional satisfaction and she/he wants to nurture those bonds. We want an associate to grow with us long term, and we want a doctor we will be proud to promote to our community. Candidates interested in the business side of practice are encouraged to apply, as mentoring in practice ownership and leadership are available. Our owner holds an MBA in addition to a DVM and is an AVMA PAC Board member, DVM360 author and Fetch Conference Speaker. 

Schedule: We are looking for an associate (full or part time) to work between 3 and 5 days a week. Associates will see appointments between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm on weekdays only with an hour lunch break. We do not take after-hours call. The hospital is closed on weekends and major holidays, so no weekend or on-call hours are required!
