Looking for a change of pace?...

Come join the PriorityVet team as an Associate Veterinarian – Full or Part-time - for an exciting and unique practice opportunity at the Jersey Shore. We are the first and only after-hours urgent care facility for dogs and cats in Toms River, NJ.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTYWXnz44aA

We are seeking an optimistic, gregarious, energetic, Associate Veterinarian, Full or Part-Time with a minimum of 3 years of general practice experience to join us in providing outstanding care and comprehensive client service in this novel market and practice environment. The associate will be supported by a minimum of 3 staff members and have ready access to the owner for case collaboration. Emergency facility experience is not required but aptitude in triage and stabilization of critically ill or traumatized pets is desirable.

We are NOT your typical veterinary emergency hospital!

Our business hours are 6pm to 12am daily (excluding major holidays), promoting a healthy work-life balance and allowing for the recruitment of well-qualified staff. We cater to the needs of pet owners presenting with the approximately 75% of evening cases that are not "true emergencies".

Pets are largely treated on an out-patient basis with short-term admission for diagnostics and minor anesthetic procedures (lacerations, urethral obstruction, splinting, etc). Pets requiring prolonged anesthesia, major emergency surgery, hospitalization or overnight care are referred to a 24-hour referral institution following any necessary emergent interventions. Pets are typically directed back to their family veterinarian for follow-up care. However, return visits and rechecks are not discouraged. No routine care is ever provided.  We incorporate Fear Free techniques into our practice to foster less stressful visits for all involved.

PriorityVet is fully equipped with electric lift tables in exam rooms and treatment area, in-house laboratory, digital radiography, Tonopen, Ultrasound, EKG-defibrillator, blood pressure, pulse-oximetry and cloud-based practice software.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to foster and promote the values of PriorityVet:

Respect • Compassion • Accountability • Professionalism • Fun • Excellence • Teamwork

Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and full or part-time commitment.

Please submit a letter of intent, CV and 2 professional/1 personal references to the practice owner, Steven Cudia, VMD, Diplomate ABVP (Canine/Feline).

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Benefits negotiable
