Recent graduates - Are you looking for mentorship and a comfortable learning experience?  Experienced veterinarians - looking for a change of pace? Full or Part-Time?

We are looking for an associate veterinarian to work for a 3 doctor small animal practice in western NY. Our hospital motto is “Where your pet is part of our family”. We enjoy working in a supportive team environment with a wonderful roster of loyal clients. Veterinary colleagues will include two doctors with 20+ years of experience.  A recent grad reported, “Mentorship has always been readily available and includes a good balance of internal medicine and surgical guidance. This is the perfect opportunity for a new grad to learn at a comfortable pace. I never felt like I was alone and had wonderful resources to consult when I had questions. ”

We have a great staff of four technicians and many assistants who have been with the practice for 2-10+ years. Hospital equipment includes digital x-ray, ultrasound, Abaxis CBC, Profile, and PT/PTT machines, dental equipment, anesthesia monitoring, and Avimark practice management software. We strive to maintain a pleasant family atmosphere both in the clinic and out. Work week is approximately 36 hours per week with one weekday off. We are open until 7pm three evenings per week and evening hours are split between the doctors.  The clinic is open 8-12 on Saturdays so doctors work every third weekend.  We are available for phone consultation for our clients with the option to see emergencies or to refer to local emergency clinics. There are several emergency referral clinics within one hour and Cornell University is 2.5 hours away, giving us access to emergency services as well as specialized services such as neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, and cardiology. Recently started an at home euthanasia service.  Looking to start a mobile small animal clinic service.  This would be a great opportunity for a new associate to help get this service start and be a part of it's success.

  • DVM or VMD
  • NY license
  • Team player attitude
  • Interest in dentistry or ultransonography encouraged

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Salary and benefits negotiable. Additional benefits include professional organization dues, paid CE, paid time off, and relocation bonus. We have a great team and look forward to working with you!
