Surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Central Pennsylvania, Animal Medical Hospital of State College is located in Ferguson Township, Centre County just minutes from downtown State College, home of Penn State University. State College was ranked as No. 1 as the lowest stress city in the United States by Psychology Today and Money magazine. State College was rated 5th as best place to live amongst northeast small cities.

Animal Medical Hospital serves Ferguson Township as well as some of the surrounding townships in Centre County. We provide primary veterinary care, including wellness care, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ultrasound, dentistry, and oral surgery.  In addition to dogs and cats, we see a variety of exotics including reptiles, avians, pocket pets, rabbits, ferrets, etc.

Experience preferred but willing to take on a new grad with the passion for the veterinary field.  General veterinary care is performed at our facility but anyone specializing in exotics is a plus.  Looking for someone that can bring their knowledge & skills to enhance our practice with a positive attitude and team player.

“I have been working in the veterinary field for almost twenty years. Three of those years have been at Animal Medical Hospital of State College who was purchased by NVA in 2000.  Having worked in private practice for seventeen years and coming to a corporate owned practice has proven to be extremely beneficial for all parties involved. NVA gives you ongoing training for all staff members, support on all levels, financial backing, and purchasing power, all while allowing each hospital to practice as an individual hospital and make their own decisions on procedures, protocols, treatments, medication options, etc.”

-Becky McNair, Hospital Manager, Animal Medical Hospital of State College, State College PA
