Caldwell Veterinary Clinic has an opening for a full-time Associate Veterinarian, Part time may be considered. The purpose of this position is to maintain animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries. Associate Veterinarian’s will make every effort to help improve the quality of care given to the patients of Caldwell Veterinary Clinic. We also offer farm, house, and emergency calls that will be expected to be filled on a rotational schedule. The person hired will have initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instructions, but refers deviations, problems, and unfamiliar situations not covered by instructions to the owner-doctors for decision or help.

The Caldwell Veterinary Clinic was founded in the early 60’s and has a long-standing and even generational relationships with many clients. Our staff have a combined experience of over 100 years serving the Burleson County area. We aim to be a supporting staple for the community, for example we offer a scholarship to the high school and purchase fair animals from local show kids. Our culture is centered around a personal connection with each client and recommending reasonable care for that client. Its highly preferred to have someone who understands the balance between providing care in every situation and still generating an economic return.
The right candidate will:
Ability to perform all technical duties including humane euthanasia while owner is present
Plans to stay in the area long term (5+ years) preferred
Work with wide range of species and have a willingness to work with large animal. A specific interest in Equine is a plus.

Position type and expected hours of work:
Full-Time or Part time
6 to 8-hour shifts Monday – Friday
Weekend shifts required
Overtime may be required (emergency cases)

Education and Licenses:
Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian with the state of Texas.
Accredited with Texas Animal Health Commission
If not, will be accredited upon hiring.
