Peaceful Partings is an in home euthanasia company that provides services in the Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. We have had an increase demand for our service and for hospice care therefore we are looking for doctor/s to join our team as an associate, partnership, or relief veterinarian.
Peaceful Partings offers a unique service in that we assist people who are making the difficult decision to euthanize their pet, the option for end of life services in the comfort of their home. At this time, we are averaging 75 euthanasia appointments a month in the Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Peaceful Partings is looking to hire an associate doctor for our expanding team. This individual must be able to display their compassion and care while communicating with each client during the entire process of the end of life service. Duties consist of communicating with the client during quality of life exams and the euthanasia of their pet, IV catheter placement, calculating drug dosages, administering medications, working side by side with a technician/assistant at each appointment, lifting larger pets with a stretcher, preparing the body for cremation/clay paws, etc. We are looking for a veterinarian with excellent client communication skills as this is a very sensitive time for our clients. A technician/assistant will always accompany you to each call and their duties consist of going over client info, taking payments, placing catheters, providing the clay paw print, and preparing the body for cremation. A company vehicle with all supplies is provided for each appointment. Other DVM requirements are to help maintain proper protocols for medications, doctor scheduling, phone consultations, and attend CAETA seminar & other home hospice and euthanasia CE. This position is a salary position of a 4-day work week 11am-8pm, which would include one weekend day, 2 weekends a month. Supplies, related CE, DEA license expense will be provided by Peaceful Partings and Vacation and; Sick days will be provided after established work period. Additional Salary Information: This is a salary position for a 40 hour work week based on individuals experience.
