Quartet Veterinary Emergency Hospital is currently seeking 1-2 emergency veterinarians; positions can be part-time or full time depending on the applicant's preference. Full-time applicants would start with day shifts for training and then move to overnight shifts. Part-time applicants can adopt a regular schedule or pick up shifts on the weekends or as available. We will provide training centered around each veterinarian's skills, and would welcome experienced ER veterinarians as well as more recent graduates or those wanting to add emergency skills. We focus on limiting stress and providing support to our veterinarians, with consistent schedules.

We are a privately owned 24/7 emergency service with surgical and rehabilitation specialists within the hospital. Our hospital works to foster a team approach between the emergency clinicians, emergency service staff, owners, primary veterinarians, and specialists, including focusing on:

•Excellent client education – we want the owners to understand their pet’s condition and treatment options.

•Utilizing frequent feedback from our staff and clients to have a continual improvement process

•Developing effective working relationships and professional discussion of cases

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability and commitment to offering the best possible medical care and client services, with a positive attitude. All levels of experience will be considered; we can provide training for recent graduates, and will determine salary based on experience. Candidates should be able to triage multiple patients at once, enjoy client education, have the skills or desire to learn to perform emergency procedures and surgery, and be confident in interpretation of diagnostic imaging and laboratory results. They must be able to obtain a license in good standing from the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board and Drug Enforcement Administration.

The hospital has new equipment, including a full Heska laboratory suite, top-notch digital radiography, ultrasound with Doppler, upper GI endoscopy, LASER, multiple types of vital monitors including Bluetooth, and electronic medical records. The hospital owner is on-site and responsive to concerns and requests of the doctors and staff. We have an excellent clientele in both our referring hospitals and clients that appreciate our service-based approach. Located in Cary, North Carolina, we are close to Research Triangle Park and the Raleigh/Durham metro area. Our area offers a wide array of cultural and outdoor activities for individuals and families, and both the beach and the mountains are within a short drive. Our area and towns are consistently rated within the Top 5 places to live in the United States. Additionally, our specialty group moved to our new facility in October 2016, with state of the art equipment and designed for stress free patient visits. Compensation for full-time employees includes salary commensurate with experience, medical/dental/vision/life/ADD insurance, 401K matching, national & state licenses/memberships, paid time off, and CE allowances, with a negotiable work schedule of overnights, 12 hour shifts with some daytime availability as well. If interested, please submit a resume and cover letter to DrJen@quartetvet.
