MAP ISO DVM for LTR. Must have GSOH.  Rural mixed animal practice desperately seeking 5th and possibly 6th veterinarian.   Husband/wife (or whatever… we’re very open ;) teams are welcome to apply.  Single?  We’re excellent matchmakers!  The only essential requirement is a sense of humor!

We could list off all the toys we have (we’ve got lots!), compensation details (yes you’ll be well paid & we will definitely give you time off.  Relocation allowance would be negotiable), and mentorship opportunities (no we won’t throw you to the wolves).  The bottom line…  We are a well-established small animal/cow-calf clinic with some equine and small ruminant practice in Mayerthorpe, Alberta (great small town vibe with convenience of mountains, skiing, camping, hiking within 3 hours and the benefits of big city shopping within one hour); with a very busy, primarily small animal, satellite practice in Whitecourt.

What really sets us apart is our clinic culture. We are a group of extremely capable, driven, quick-witted, and sometimes wildly inappropriate individuals who come together during business hours to work as a cohesive team; and after hours as beer pong champions, competitive horticulturists, and family-centered women.

If you’ve made it this far in the ad and are more intrigued than scared, please call Claire or Janelle at 780-786-2000 or email mayerthorpevet@hotmail.com

Must be eligible for full licensure in Alberta.

MUST have a good sense of humor!

We have hired a US veterinarian before and can help with the paperwork process!

NOTES:
2 openings.

Additional Salary Information: $80,000 minimum. Higher salary considerations would be based on experience and suitability of the candidate for the position(s)
About Mayerthorpe Vet Services
Four doctor, two-clinic mixed animal practice. The primary clinic is located in Mayerthorpe, Alberta with a satellite clinic in Whitecourt, Alberta. Mayerthorpe is a small town of about 1700 people just over an hour West of Edmonton. Whitecourt is about 20 minutes further Northwest and is a larger center with athletic facilities, sports programs, hiking and skiing trails, shopping and entertainment. Our practice location offers small town atmosphere with the amenities of larger centers close by, as well as the Rocky Mountains only a few hours away.
