Location

Our facility is located in Milford, MI, which is situated between Detroit, Ann Arbor and East Lansing. We have great outdoor activities, sporting events and fun festivals too. 

Practice Overview

Veterinary Care Specialists is an independently owned veterinary facility focused on delivering total pet care. We are fully equipped and staffed to facilitate the practice of the highest quality of veterinary medical, surgical and critical care. We are proud to have been serving our community for over twenty years. Our facility is staffed by diplomats of ACVS and ABVP. We are home to Animal MRI Center and VCS Pets First, a general medicine and surgery service. We also provide rehabilitative medicine services and treat exotic pets too. We are proud to be AAHA certified as well as Cat Friendly and Fear Free Practice.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Practice as an after-hours clinician seeing emergencies and performing well pet care too
• Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of small animal cases
• Perform routine, elective and emergency surgeries with opportunity for mentorship
• Effectively lead support staff so that client and patient care is the highest quality
• Update clients regarding inpatient care and lab work in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Possess a DVM or equivalent degree
• Be licensed or able to be licensed to practice in Michigan
• Ability to work after-hours
• Demonstrated commitment to practice medicine with integrity
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Act as a positive role model and mentor to the staff around you
