Veterinarian Wanted for an Exceptional Practice

Enthusiastic veterinarian wanted to join Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic (PVC), our well- established, multi-doctor practice in the beautiful seaside community of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. We are interested in you if you enjoy your profession, like people, and want to have a great quality of life while you practice. Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic is a privately-owned practice in a desirable suburban community. Portsmouth is the oldest town in RI with excellent schools and affordable family living. Our practice is very close to Newport and Providence and a short drive to Cape Cod and Boston. The beautiful mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont are close enough for day hikes, great backpacking, and skiing and New York City is a 3-hour train ride away.

PVC has a very experienced, compassionate, and dedicated staff. We have full in-house diagnostics and digital radiography. Our practice has weekly visits by a boarded cardiologist/internist, and we have close relationships with our local referral/emergency hospitals. PVC also strongly supports our local humane community.

Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic emphasizes continuing education and will support your intellectual growth and continued development of new skills. We can provide mentorship from and collaboration with experienced veterinarians, but also encourage independent thought and practice philosophy.

Recent graduates, intern-trained, and experienced veterinarians are all welcome. A full-time position is available, but a part-time position will be considered. Full-time positions are a 4-day work week with rotating monthly Saturday appointments and no after-hours emergency coverage. We offer a competitive salary and production bonuses, a complete generous benefit package with a signing bonus, and relocation assistance if needed.
