Cherished Companions Animal Clinic | Castle Rock, Colorado

Do you find fulfillment in going above and beyond for others and helping your organization succeed? Would you like to be part of a culture where you can collaborate, and build long-term relationships with your clients? Do you desire a good work/life balance?

If yes, we’re Cherished Companions, located in Castle Rock, Colorado — about 30 minutes south of Denver. We’re passionate about delivering a comfortable, low stress experience for dogs, cats, and their owners, so they feel at ease from the moment they arrive, to the moment they leave.

We’re looking for someone special to join our culture as our fourth, full-time veterinarian... Someone who loves being a part of something bigger than themselves. Someone who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that clients have an exceptional experience. Someone who has a strong sense of pride and ownership in the success of their veterinary clinic.

Sound like you?

Responsibilities

As one of our veterinarians, you’d share your talents in many ways:

  • Ensuring our clients feel comfortable, welcome and reassured — both pets and their owners.
  • Caring for dogs and cats through internal medicine, dentistry and soft tissue surgeries. (Please note, our clinic doesn’t practice in: acupuncture, orthopedics, exotic pets and pocket pets).
  • Managing 16 to 20 cases a day on appointments (typically, 4 ADRs) and on surgery days, 4 to 6 anesthetic patients.
  • Helping train new veterinary technicians and educating receptionists, so they can improve their skills build their knowledge, and thrive.
  • Jumping in wherever you’re needed to ensure an exceptional experience for our clients and clinic.

Your Talents

You’re likely to thrive with us if you have:

  • Experience: You have experience practicing internal medicine, dentistry and soft tissue surgeries in a busy general practice.
  • Energy: You’re good at multitasking and managing an active caseload, including running cases in parallel.
  • Enthusiasm: You have an outgoing personality, a gift for making people feel at ease, and a passion for caring for animals and their families.
  • A sense of responsibility: You have a strong work ethic and take initiative without being told.
  • Patience and perseverance: You adapt well to unforeseen events that can come up during the day, and you stay positive and friendly, even on the busiest or most challenging days.
  • Team spirit: You take great pride in helping your colleagues and business succeed. You’re committed to developing other staff members.

Your Rewards

As a member of our team, you’ll enjoy:

  • Collaboration with experienced veterinarians: You’ll have daily opportunities to share ideas, seek advice, and share workloads with our experienced veterinarians. We’re a team.
  • A strong connection with your clients: In our small, established clinic, you’ll be able to build ongoing relationships with your clients (both people and pets). You’ll be a part of pets’ lives from the time they’re young puppies and kittens, up through their golden years.
  • Rapid professional growth through a diverse caseload: As one of our veterinarians will tell you, she gained more experience in the first six months with us than she had in her previous three years at another clinic thanks to our wide variety of clientele and cases.
  • The joy of developing others: You’ll have a chance to share your insight and knowledge with staff members and clients.
  • Work/life balance: You’ll enjoy Sundays off, and you’re not on call for after-hour emergencies. Client schedule is by appointment so we are in better control of your day.
  • A competitive salary and benefits.
