Idaho Falls Veterinary Emergency Clinic is a rapidly growing emergency clinic serving all of South East Idaho, Western Wyoming, and the southern tip of Montana. IFVEC is a privately owned hospital with an ownership team committed to continual investment in the practice and providing exceptional care for our patients and clients. We are the only 24/7 ECCM facility in the greater Eastern Idaho region.

In 2021 we are breaking ground on a new facility with the goal of bringing surgical and additional specialties to the area as well as adding a CT scanner and other expanded diagnostic capabilities.

The practice features a complete in-house diagnostic suite including digital radiographs, ultrasound, Idexx Procytce, Catalyst, Coags, and Abaxis Istat for blood gases, pH, and iCa. We are also equipped with a Snyder ICU unit, Surgivet Anesthetic Ventilator, Parks Doppler units, a Pet Map, and 2nd Surgivet monitor including capnography for monitoring our surgical and critical care patients. We are proud to employ 6 certified veterinary technicians one of which is currently pursuing her VTS in ECCM.

In addition to offering high quality emergency services to the community, we also have an in-house community canine blood bank allowing us a constant supply of pRBC and plasma; as well as on call feline donors.

Besides being a great place to work, Idaho Falls is a wonderful place to call home. Despite an incredibly low cost of living, Idaho Falls has all the amenities of a bigger city. We have a wonderful downtown with great restaurants and entertainment/events most nights. There are also endless outdoor recreation opportunities including world class skiing, biking, climbing, fishing, and hunting all within a short drive.

The right candidate would have emergency experience or several years’ experience in a busy primary care facility. However, with plans for structured mentorship, the right new graduate would be considered on a mentorship-based contract.

Compensation is 25% production or $700/shift whichever is greater calculated on a quarterly basis with no negative accrual. Full time is 10 shifts per month allowing for plenty of time off. We also offer generous PTO (independent of production/month,) CE, a 401K w/ 4% match, and a $385/m HRA (health reimbursement arrangement.)

We’re also happy to offer a $30,000 signing bonus with three-year commitment.

Please email resume and cover letter to Chris Bailey, DVM – bailey@ifvec.com.
