Open Door Veterinary Care in Asheville, NC is a unique full-service practice. We believe all pets deserve access to veterinary care and we seek to remove barriers so pets won’t go without care. We want our veterinarians to be able to provide care without turning people away so we build community partnerships and give back into a special fund. We are not a corporate owned practice and value your input as a veterinarian on our team. If you became a veterinarian to make a difference and want to be part of a mission focused practice, we’d like to speak with you.

We are looking for a veterinarian who: 

Can perform thorough and complete physical examinations with the desire to follow up cases and outcomes.

Possesses good communication skills and likes to work as part of a team, exchanging ideas and opinions

Is able to be decisive, creative and work within client’s budget

Is capable of looking at cases objectively and working efficiently

Experience and surgical skills preferred but not required

The right fit for the team is most important, we can offer mentoring.
