Are you looking for a good paying wage with an excellent work/life balance? Then this may be the best place for you.  We are a very busy small animal practice open 51/2 days per week with no emergency or Sunday hours and workdays that average 8 hours (except the half days).  We have an ethnically diverse clientele and an ethnically diverse and experienced staff of approximately 14 employees. We maintain a 1 to 4/5 doctor to staff ratio to allow doctors to practice medicine- while the technicians and other support staff assist.

We work hard and play hard while we give every patient our best service. We seek to provide the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care for our highly valued patients. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health-related educational opportunities for our clients.  In our quest to offer the best options for our clients and patients we have added and are continuing to add a variety of integrative practices, blending eastern and western medicine, to our services. We are especially interested in assisting our senior patients but provide these services to all patients in need.

We are looking for a dependable, friendly, sincere, dedicated, ambitious, and conscientious colleague with a positive and uplifting personality to add to our current compliment of 2 veterinarians in either a full or part-time position. Joining our team will require a minimum of a three-year commitment and hopefully a desire to stay even longer. A strong interest in surgery is desired but excellent skills in general medicine and soft tissue surgery is required. Interest in integrative medicine is a plus with an opportunity to acquire additional certification in this area. Interest in partnership and/or ownership is a strong possibility for an interested associate.  Assistance with relocation expenses available.

We utilize current clinical methodologies and practices and provide a full complement of up to date equipment to assist you in management of cases. We are a computer light practice utilizing a full-compliment of IDEXX in house lab services, Cornerstone Management system, and an almost full-compliment of Companion Animal therapy and diagnostic equipment in addition to therapeutic ultrasound, digital radiography, and a multitude of additional equipment.

We believe strongly in providing client education and likewise educating our staff and doctors on a monthly basis. We want to remain on top of trending medicine as well as referral medical and surgical services available to our clients. As a group we participate in quarterly staff enrichment opportunities to better connect with co-workers on a daily basis.

Graduate of an accredited school of Veterinary Medicine

Prefer 2+ years of experience in private practice but willing to train the right candidate with less experience but a strong interest in surgery

Current license in good standing. Willing to pay for Illinois licensure

A pleasant, can do attitude and willing to continually learn and grow in the profession.

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: can negotiate base salary plus production or straight salary. Benefits available - CE allowance and PTO, Personal PTO, licensure, individual medical and dental supplement,
