Do you enjoy surgery, saving lives and making a difference? How about minimal administrative duties and great working hours? The Humane Society of Greater Dayton (HSGD) in Dayton, Ohio, is seeking a skilled, energetic, self-motivated, full-time and part-time Veterinarian. The HSGD is a no-kill animal welfare agency and is the oldest, most-established shelter in the region. We’ve been helping animals since 1902! We employee great support staff and follow high quality medical protocols.

 

The primary responsibilities include performing spay/neuter surgeries and providing care to animals in need. Experience with high-volume spay/neuter and pediatric surgeries is highly desirable. Must be able to evaluate health status in an objective manner and determine most appropriate treatment for an animal. Candidates must hold a DVM license in the state of Ohio, hold or be eligible to hold DEA license, and possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.

About Humane Society of Greater Dayton
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton has been helping people and pets since 1902. They are a no-kill animal welfare agency helping all types of animals and are focused on pet adoptions, spay/neuter services, cruelty and neglect investigations and more. The Humane Society of Greater Dayton just broke ground in the Fall of 2020 on a large expansion at their current facility that will include a high-volume spay and neuter clinic, needs-based animal hospital and an animal rehabilitation center.
