Antioch Animal Hospital is a small animal practice, providing quality medicine in a compassionate environment since 1979.  We currently have five FTE veterinarians and are looking to expand our team.  Our mission is to treat our clients as we would treat our own family and to provide them with the best care possible.

Antioch Animal Hospital is conveniently located just five minutes south of the Wisconsin-Illinois border.  We are a quick hour and a half drive from the city of Chicago and an hour from Milwaukee.  The beautiful Lake Michigan, Chain O’Lakes, along with dozens of other lakes and rivers nearby are perfect for anyone with a love of water.  Antioch and the surrounding areas are also home to beautiful hiking, golfing, camping, wine tasting and so much more.  The school systems here are top notch along with outdoor recreation areas and state parks.

What You Can Offer:

We are in search of a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual to join our team to practice general medicine and perform surgery.  All experience levels will be considered.  We love to discuss cases and collaborate, but we can also provide mentorship to new(er) graduates.

We are ultimately looking for someone willing to develop a strong relationship with the clients through communication, education, and understanding in a professional manner.  The schedule is flexible (4 or 5 day work week) with rotating Saturdays.

What We Can Offer:

We offer tools to allow you to practice quality medicine including brand new digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, in-house laboratory, multiple patient monitoring systems, and most importantly, a terrific team of experienced and motivated support staff.  Our compensation and benefit plans are also generous, competitive, and commensurate with experience, including;

  • Signing bonus and/or relocation assistance, up to $20,000
  • Production-based compensation
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Short-term disability and life insurance
  • Paid time off for personal use and to attend continuing education
  • Annual continuing education allowance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Sponsored AVMA PLIT group coverage
  • Reimbursement of licensure fees and membership dues
  • Access to employee assistance program (EAP)
  • Customizable mentorship and support

Please come experience the difference and the freedom to think for yourself with the opportunity to work side by side with multiple experienced colleagues.  Come learn and grow with our family!  For more information, or to submit a confidential application, please email Rebecca Olson at rkantioch@outlook.com.

About Antioch Animal Hospital
Blue River PetCare's mission is to provide a long-term home for local practices that selling owners have worked so hard to build. We are dedicated to retaining the culture of each of our hospitals in addition to the local practice of medicine. We do this by ensuring each hospital has complete medical autonomy with their choice of protocols, therapies, inventory items, vendors and even management software. We also focus on our employees’ health and well-being as much as we do the pets we treat. We would love to hear from you!
