Arapaho Road Animal Clinic is a fast-paced walk-in clinic looking for the right leader of the pack who wants to grow with our practice. We are seeking a dynamic  Veterinary Hospital Manager to join our team! As the Practice Manager, you play an integral role in leading the hospital team and providing excellent customer service to our patients. The practice manager is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations

Our employees hold the highest regard for maintaining a healthy, safe, and cohesive work environment while also maintaining legal and ethical continuity within the practice. You will always lead by example and maintain a professional attitude. You will be responsible for the hospital's success in the following areas: patient care, client and staff retention, controlling expenses; top-line revenue; and overall profitability.

As the Hospital Manager, you will:

  • Have empathy and respect towards pets, clients, and colleagues
  • Know your way around a veterinary hospital, and be familiar with the equipment, inventory, purchasing, and hospital supplies
  • Be capable of recruiting, onboarding, and training veterinary staff per TX state guidelines
  • Be familiar with OSHA and DEA requirements
  • Able to review, understand and react to findings in financial reports, budgets, and Profit & Loss statements
  • Have experience in team building, conducting performance reviews, and addressing staff concerns, and know when to escalate issues for support from Regional Management and/or Human Resources
  • Have excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Exercise strong time management skills, being able to plan, organize and prioritize tasks
  • Possess a positive attitude and contribute to building and fostering a positive work environment
  • Have strong attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
  • Maintain a constructive and harmonious relationship with co-workers, clients, and vendors.

About you:

  • 3+ years of managerial/supervisory experience.
  • A positive Client Experience centered background is required.
  • Process-oriented and implementation experience
  • Computer knowledge required; familiar with Word, Excel, and communication tools such as Instant Messenger and email.
  • A four-year college degree or CVPM desirable but not required
  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting is required
