East Springs Animal Hospital is a well established veterinary hospital that has been part of the Colorado Springs community since it was started in 1987.   Our team consists of five veterinarians and a support staff of twenty.  Our goal at ESAH is to provide the best possible compassionate care to pets along with high level, friendly service.  Our team is passionate about their work and provides general as well as more advanced services.   East Springs Animal Hospital has been an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) for 32 years.   ESAH has the distinction of being named as the 2015 Gold Winner in the Best of Colorado Springs by local paper, “The Independent”.   In addition, East Springs was named as the 2019  Silver award winner for the “Best Veterinarian Practice” in the  Gazette’s “Best of Springs” contest.

ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL

We are a progressive practice that facilitates the care for our patients by providing high quality veterinary care.  Our services include:

  • Orthopedic procedures including TPLO
  • Preventive Medicine, diagnostics & surgery
  • Ultrasound
  • Advanced soft tissue surgery
  • Digital Radiography
  • Laparoscopic procedures
  • Endoscopy/Rhinoscopy
  • Dentistry in a dedicated dental suite with digital dental radiography
  • Laser Therapy
  • In-house laboratory
  • Reproductive services including TCI

 

ABOUT COLORADO SPRINGS

We are located in beautiful Colorado Springs surrounded by mountain areas and ideal for those outdoor enthusiasts.   Colorado Springs is the second largest city in Colorado and gets more than 300 days of blue skies a year and sits at an elevation of 6,035 feet.   Colorado Springs has been nationally ranked as the 5th “Best Place to Live” by the US News and World report.   We’re home to Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods and the US Olympic Training Center.   We are only a short drive to the mountains where endless hiking, mountain biking trails and ski resorts provide the ingredients for high quality living.    

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
  • At least one year of experience as an Associate DVM is desirable.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state and DEA licensure
  • Works collaboratively with hospital team members.
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and veterinary code of ethics.
  • Experience with orthopedic surgery a plus.
  • Experience with laparoscopic procedures a plus.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Builds a rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns.
  • Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
  • Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventative health care, nutritional needs and take home instructions.
  • Maintains patient medical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
  • Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
  • Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
  • Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
  • Other duties as assigned.
