CARE is announcing an accelerated program to train new graduates in emergency medicine.
Our program is a 12-month intensive training initiative that combines the best of an internship
and a conventional job. CARE’s accelerated emergency trainees will receive clinical training and
didactic rounds from specialists and experienced emergency doctors while working in a clinical
setting.
CARE is a privately owned specialty and emergency hospital with mission of promoting a work
culture that fuels passion for service, collegiality, and fun. Our staff has a commitment for
creating a culture where everyone, from customer service representative to hospital owner, is
dedicated to being a lifelong learner and strives to be excellent at their job while supporting their
colleagues. Our collaborative culture is one of our strongest attributes and a cohesive approach
to patient care throughout the hospital is our focus. A daily dose of laughter and a sense of
community while at work is a must. The specialists that work to support the emergency and ICU
teams include internal medicine (3), cardiology (3 as of 9/2021), neurology (2), oncology (2),
surgery (3) and ophthalmology.
Charlotte is a beautiful city that was recently ranked by Forbes magazine as one of the best
places to live and is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. A host of amenities and
attractions, including easy access to the beach and mountains; professional sports; the National
Whitewater Center; art and science museums; and growing culinary scene, make Charlotte a
wonderful place to live for young professionals and their families
The program is designed for new graduates to spend 6 months of intensive training side by side
with emergency doctors and specialists and then work as emergency clinicians with close
mentorship for 6 months. The accelerated trainee would commit to spend two years at CARE as
an emergency clinician after completing the program. We believe this program is a ‘win-win’ for
new graduates who desire and internship-like experience but with better compensation and for
our staff who enjoy teaching and are excited for the opportunity to train new graduates that are
interested in a career in emergency medicine.
