The Opportunity

Join an award-winning practice as the Associate Veterinarian at Piper Creek Veterinary Clinic in Red Deer. Piper Creek has grown from one to three doctors, and is now looking for a fourth to meet steady demand, and in hopes of expanding their services.

As an Associate Veterinarian at Piper Creek you can enjoy a flexible schedule with no on-call duties. The practice is open to accommodating a schedule that works for you! Additionally, you will be provided competitive compensation package, medical benefits, paid continuing education, fully-paid ABVMA dues, mentorship, sign-on bonus and much more!

The Hospital

Piper Creek Veterinary Clinic is a small animal & exotics general practice located in Central Alberta, Canada. The building consists of 4 exam rooms, a surgery theater and 2 dental tables. They offer Digital X-ray, Dental X-ray, Ultrasound, Orthopedics, a wide range of surgeries including Dental surgery and a full in-house laboratory.

Learn from and work with a tenured & knowledgeable team. The practice consists of three doctors with a collective 40 years of experience between them. Additionally, you will have the support of three technicians and 3 receptionists.

Serving their community and practicing high quality medicine is their mission, and it shows. The practice was voted the #1 Veterinarian in Red Deer and rated Gold the past seven years in a row. Most recently they were awarded the title “Hometown Hero” in addition to being recognized for their outstanding work with a local rescue.

The Impact

Help us grow our practice and keep up with the demand for affordable, high quality care for pets in the community! The practice welcomes doctors who wish to bring a new skill to the clinic or expand on existing skills through continuing education. Mentorship, especially in surgery and ultrasound, is available.

Additionally, candidates with an interest in exotics are encouraged to apply.

The Area

Piper Creek is located just outside of the beautiful city of Red Deer, which is situated between two major cities: Calgary to the South and Edmonton to the North. Red Deer has an exceptional community spirit with much to offer.

Scenic trails pave way for biking hiking or running or walking. In less than two hours, you can drive to the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Other amenities include the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame & Museum, The Red Deer Museum & Art Gallery and Bower Ponds—a park with paddle boats and ice skating.

In 2018 Red Deer was ranked 12th in Canada's Best Places to Live and fourth overall in Alberta according to MoneySense. Red Deer has a diverse economy with the arts, culture, recreation and sport among other industries. The area boasts high quality of life and affordable living costs.
