FULL OR PART TIME INTEGRATIVE POSITION AVAILABLE We are a 5 doctor integrative veterinary practice in DeLand, Florida caring for small animals, exotics, and wildlife. Our three senior doctors have a combined total of over 60 years of experience and hold CVA certifications from Chi Institute; one is also a certified herbalist. Cutting edge western medical diagnostics and interventions (in house lab and ultrasound, echocardiography, radiosurgery and vessel sealing surgical equipment, digital dental radiography, brand new surgical and dental suites) are paired with traditional Chinese, holistic, and alternative therapies. We utilize acupuncture, neuromyofascial release, class IV laser, ozone therapy / ultraviolet phototherapy, meridian stress analysis and hyperthermia therapy along with other alternative modalities. We often include western and eastern herbs along with nutrition changes and supplement use in our treatment plans. As you might imagine, we enjoy an endlessly interesting case load with a larger than average population of cancer and chronic disease patients. These frequently become long term and loyal clients who enjoy our wellness and preventative care programs. We also support a thriving wildlife service. Injured wild animals are brought in by members of our community, animal control, and FWC allowing us to triage, treat, and release some of our native fauna. This is a service that brings our entire staff great joy and provides valuable medical experience to our team. Our doctors work closely together and hold weekly rounds to discuss cases and share ideas. It is common for us to team manage a case when complementary or advanced surgical therapies are needed, providing a younger or less experienced clinician the chance to learn alongside a more senior doctor. Mentorship is taken seriously and training / administrative time is built into our full time associates' schedules. We actively attend traditional, exotic, and holistic veterinary conferences in order to constantly improve patient outcomes. This associate position will allow the correct candidate to increase their comfort with integrative therapies and challenging cases or to hit the ground running if already familiar with this type of work. Salary is commensurate with experience. DeLand supports a thriving downtown and has a small town vibe. Our practice resides in a beautiful collection of renovated turn of the century houses with a peaceful fountained courtyard. It's about half an hour to beaches, ten minutes to local freshwater springs, and one hour to Orlando and the theme parks. Experience is not required, but a hands-on attitude and thirst for knowledge are musts. We love to challenge ourselves, support one another, and laugh. We consider it our life's work to help animals who are suffering or who have run out of traditional options. Our motto is "Helping Pets Live Their Best Life". If this sounds appealing to you (and you know it does, you read this far...) please contact us today! We would love to speak with you and discuss your interests.

This position requires interest in traditional and integrative veterinary medicine, interest in exotics / wildlife, good communication skills, desire to continue learning, and a progressive mindset.

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: paid vacation, 401K, CE stipend
