Shirlington Animal Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team!

We are a companion animal hospital offering a full range of services including annual wellness exams, routine vaccinations, professional diagnostics, dental and surgical procedures, and chronic disease management. In addition to cats and dogs, we are happy to see rabbits and other small pocket pets.

Are you seeking reasonable hours which will not include emergency or on- call hours? Are you looking to work with an amazingly energetic and client- focused team? Consider joining our practice. We have a tremendous, family-oriented staff including highly collaborative doctors and supporting staff with a high technician to doctor ratio. There is also the opportunity for great mentorship and support from our experienced veterinarians & technicians.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Builds a rapport with clients
  • Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, nutritional needs and preventative treatment
  • Performs physical exams and diagnostic-surgical-medical and dental procedures that delivers the highest quality care
  • Stays current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
  • Maintains client-patient medical/surgical records
  • Assists in the development of our team to ensure the highest quality of care and exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

  • DVM/VMD degree
  • Licensure in good standing
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
  • Commitment to ongoing educational growth

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive compensation package which includes a base salary plus commission bonuses, Health package with dental and vision coverage,401k, dues and CE reimbursement!
