PetVet Care Centers, Inc. is one of the nation’s leading operators of veterinary hospitals for companion animals. The company operates over 300 hospitals across multiple states and employs over 4,000 people including over 800 veterinarians.

The Hospital Administrator will provide leadership and is an integral part of the hospital team.  In partnership with the Medical Director they oversee a profitable operation driving revenue, creating a culture offering the highest quality patient care and offering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include managing overall operations of the hospital and creating a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate is a highly capable manager of a 24 hour ER and/or specialty center with at least 3+ years’ experience. Experience in HR, overall operations, financial and facilities management. Experience leading a large team of individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead support staff and professional team members.
  • Partner with Medical Director and staff leads to manage hiring, training, feedback, personnel issues and conduct performance reviews.
  • You will partner and assist with the doctor team, medical team and support staff.
  • Staff retention and recruitment.
  • Market the practice and build relationships with local general practices and community leaders.
  • Oversees and assists with doctor and staff schedules.
  • Achieve/maintain labor goals.
  • Guide financial and strategic business development to achieve hospital profitability.
  • Budget creation and financial reporting.
  • OSHA/safety, ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Manage facilities and equipment maintenance.
  • Inventory Management.
  • Manage HR related issues. Knowledge of state, federal, local legal compliance of relevant employment law.

 

Requirements:

  • Prefer BA/BS degree in business or related field.
  • 5 years’ of experience in a Veterinary Management role and experience leading a large team.
  • Certified Veterinary Practice Management (CVPM) is preferred.

 

Candidates without Veterinary Specialty Practice Management will not be considered.
