Who we are:

Kiln Creek Animal Care is excitedly looking to add an associate veterinarian to our busy team and growing business. But, we’re not looking for just any associate veterinarian. We want a candidate to compliment our already fantastic group of motivated, all-female, strong-willed, Fear Free loving group. So, read more if you feel like we may be the right fit for you.

What’s better than working in a “big, happy family” environment? Working with a smart, cohesive team, and that’s how we roll at KCAC. It’s taken a few years of growing pains and changes, but we strive to walk out of our doors each night with a sense of pride and accomplishment at a job well done, not exhaustion and frustration from the workload of the day. How? We work hard at everything we do. We work hard to educate our owners. We work hard to put our Fear Free certification into action. We work hard to learn each other’s personalities, so we can treat one another with respect and encouragement. We work hard to create a positive culture.

We feel that our employees should possess more than just a love for animals. We want to do the right thing for our patients, clients and coworkers each day, even if it takes extra effort.

Are you reading this and thinking, “seems too good to be true?” Believe us, we’re not like this all of the time. We like to laugh, and use sarcastic humor. We love to eat – no homemade treat from a client, box of donuts or Lunch & Learn goes untouched. Sometimes the stress of angry clients or having anal glands squirt on our clothes is enough to make us want to scream. But then, we always are there to support one another if someone is feeling down.

Here’s what we need from you:

-DVM degree or equivalent

-VA State Licensure in good standing

–Interest in exotics, acupuncture, holistic medicine, Chinese medicine, or ultrasound is a plus, but not required

-Desire to practice veterinary medicine in a hospital that practices Fear Free techniques

-Must be willing to tolerate the “Pop Goes Classical” station on Pandora

What you’ll get from us:

-We’re a privately owned, 3 doctor practice. Input and new ideas are always valued and encouraged. We wouldn’t be where we are today without innovation and change.

-Working with support staff members that are Fear Free Certified. We truly believe in the methods and success with Fear Free. This takes time, so many of our wellness appointments last 30-45 minutes. We also hope to be certified as a hospital in the near future.

-Paper light patient charting with AVImark software

-We focus heavily on pet dentistry, and integrate client education on the matter into all levels of pet care. Our dental suite comes equipped with dental radiography, and our licensed technicians have years of experience.

-Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Saturdays: 8:00 am to Noon. Doctors typically work 4 days a week and rotate Saturdays, because it’s important to have a life outside of the hospital.

-We’re looking for quality in a candidate, and not necessarily experience. We would love to mentor!

Benefits:

-Competitive salary commensurate with experience

-Generous benefits package which includes: paid time off, CE, IRA, medical and dental insurance, membership dues (AVMA, VVMA), DEA and VA licensing, PLIT

Come on, apply!

If you want to be proud of the medicine you are practicing, while feeling supported and free to express different ideas – join us!
