Overnight Emergency Clinician:

VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona (ARECA) in Mesa, Arizona is seeking an overnight Emergency Clinician to join our 24-hour emergency/multi-specialty practice serving the Phoenix Metropolitan area. This position will serve to support hospitalized patients and receive incoming emergency patients.

VCA ARECA, an AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor, 24-hour emergency/specialty practice, is one of the top veterinary specialty centers in the Southwest, with a strong clinical caseload and a longstanding reputation for excellence. Our current veterinary roster includes 3 Surgeons, 2 Internists, a Criticalist, a Neurologist, a Behaviorist, 4 ER Doctors, 7 Interns, and a second-year specialty intern (surgery). A dedicated diagnostic imaging team consisting of two highly trained radiology technicians complements our well-trained support staff.

Our state-of-the-art, 18,000 sq. ft. facility features a newly renovated 34 bed ICU with 2 Snyder oxygen cages, Newport E360 critical care ventilator, renovated isolation unit, several multi-parameter monitors, telemetry and a dedicated ICU staff in addition to a high-quality ER support team.

Additional equipment available includes two Sound/Eklin DR systems, 16 slice CT (soon to be upgraded to 64 slice), Logiq 9 US, DRE monitors, Storz Video Endoscopy & C-arm fluoroscopy (in a newly designed minimally invasive surgical suite). A 1.5T MRI is being added to our hospital.
