About Shoals Area Veterinary Emergency (SAVE) Hospital
We are a co-operative of seven veterinarians from 4 local veterinary clinics that manages our local Animal ER! Shoals Area Veterinary Emergency Hospital (SAVE Hospital) originally formed in 2012 as a weekend-only ER and quickly evolved into its current weekday after-hours, weekend, and holiday fully-staffed emergency facility. We currently employ 3 licensed veterinary technicians, an LVT office manager, and multiple part-time support staff including rotating technical staff from member clinics alongside our two full-time DVMs. We have a spacious, newly remodeled facility and are located along the beautiful Tennessee River in downtown Florence, Alabama. We support the veterinarians from over 15 small animal clinics in the surrounding counties, improving patient care and the quality of life of our profession. This job could be a great fit for a new or seasoned ER veterinarian - it is not as fast-paced as a large urban practice but sees plenty of variety. Surgical referral is available within about an hour's drive. We are committed to providing quality care when pets need it most!
