Associate Veterinarian Fredonia Veterinary Clinic

  • Medical excellence and family friendly environment
  • Opportunity to expand and diversify your professional interests.

Our philosophy of working hard and doing the best for our clients has allowed us to grow from modest beginnings to be the leading practice we are today, now with 7 vets plus our Technician and Support team.   We are looking for an Associate who can blend and bond well with our team, as well as provide the best practice medicine and surgical skills our highly appreciative patients and clients have come to expect.

Our practice continues to grow at a pleasing pace based on the quality of medicine we provide, which results in a high retention rate, as well as ongoing growth in our overall community.  Consequently, it is time for us to find a like-minded Associate to join our happy and thriving team.

About Us:

Privately owned.

We are highly regarded in the community for our medical excellence and family-friendly environment.

We are committed to practicing veterinary medicine with strong ethics and high standards.  Our goal is to gain the trust of our clientele and keep that trust for a lifetime.

We are AAHA certified and advocate a Fear Free approach and have Fear Free certified team members.

We recognize the importance of workplace well-being and company culture and make this a top priority.

We are principally a SA practice and our days are a balance of regular appointments including wellness and preventive care, plus “sick” pet diagnostic assessments and treatment workups, mixed with dentistry and surgery.  We treat the usual spread of cats, dogs, and pocket pets as well as the occasional lamb, kid or alpaca that adds diversity to our days.

As a qualified Vet you already have a sound grasp of the wide range of skills and abilities that this role entails.  In particular, the key talents and abilities that we are seeking are:

  • interest and skill in soft tissue surgery and dentistry
  • working up cases and developing corresponding treatments
  • integrity

Special interests such as orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, regenerative medicine, or exotics are more than welcome and there is plenty of opportunity in our clientele mix.  There is opportunity to work with other species such as equine or small ruminant if that is an area of interest and skill, but this is not a requirement for the position.

We have a great relationship with two local 24/7 emergency referral clinics so there are no after hour calls for our SA veterinarians.

About you:

Your qualifications are certainly essential to your success in this role and it is expected that you will demonstrate talent and skill as a Veterinarian.  In addition, these attributes are important to us:

  • Ability to quickly build rapport with customers, fellow team members and management
  • Integrity
  • Empathy
  • Positivity
  • Reliable
  • Self-motivated and a focus on self-improvement

As we are always striving to improve, we are very willing to help fund and support acquisition of new skills that could prove useful to our clientele.  Some of our vets have recently acquired certifications in acupuncture, rehabilitation, and spinal manipulation through this support.  Others have done advanced ultrasound training.

Location:

Fredonia (https://www.ozaukeetourism.com/communities) is a thriving community sporting a commercial park, fine school system, new home developments and yet still retains the rural charm of yesteryear.  We are located just over half an hour north of downtown Milwaukee if you are inclined for a little retail therapy or a night on the town.   There are ample parks, things to see and do and the Lake Michigan shoreline is just a few minutes away.  We are active members of our community and our team is well respected and supports local initiatives.  We really do enjoy an enviable lifestyle that is ideal for individuals, families, and couples alike.

Our Offer:

To appeal to Veterinary Professionals like you, we have developed a flexible approach to salary packaging that focuses on your talent and potential.  Typically, this will include:

An appealing salary that reflects your experience and expertise.

Commission bonus

Generous CE allowance

Medical and dental insurance

Retirement plan

Paid PTO

Paid vet license fees professional insurance and association dues

Employee discounts

It is time to apply.

If you value a more relaxed workplace and an enviable lifestyle location then we should talk.  Call Dr. Linda Mehoke at 1-262-692-2439 for a preliminary chat.

Send resume and cover letter to lmehoke@fredoniavetclinic.com
