This mentorship opportunity has been developed over the past 4 years. It has helped mould talented, fun and inquisitive practitioners from various veterinary institutions spanning across the nation. It uses a combination of teamwork, collaboration, case discussion, practical hands on case management and having cutting edge tools, for the ultimate professional development.  Perfect for an associate seeking collegial support as they start out on their new career path or for a more recent graduate looking for more in-depth support and clinical challenges. 

Ingredients

  1. A positive, friendly, team-oriented, people person.
  2. A desire to provide animals with the latest and best health care and diagnostic options available.
  3. An inquisitive nature, and desire to be a life-long learner.
  4. Enjoys exclusively small animal practice, or would like to explore large animal & avian/exotic vet med too.
  5. Strong motivation to educate clients and build relationships. 
  6. Need to have new, standard of care technology and equipment to support your clinical services.
  7. A set day off weekly and a three-day weekend monthly to achieve balance as an individual and enjoy yourself.
  8. In person, positive, colleague support for surgical and medical firsts, seconds and “what the heck do I do now’s?” for as long as you need it.
  9. Above average compensation free of production pressures, with a focus on best medicine.
  10. The ability to repay student loans, live in a nice home, not eat Kraft Dinner and even buy the new ‘shiny’ you’ve been eyeing.
  11. A willingness to share your new found knowledge and skills to serve the less fortunate animals of our community.
  12. Lifestyle suited to a medium sized town, 5 minutes to the beach, with all the amenities you could ever need on a weekly basis. Just 45 minutes from Houston for all your travel and big city desires.

Instructions

Combine all of the above listed ingredients into a newly renovated clinic environment complete with staff lounge and snack bar. Optimal results achieved by allowing for an extended pairing of mentee with long standing hospital team.

 

Ability to perform functions as required to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Texas including; ability to obtain full state licensure, USDA accreditation, DEA registration.  

NOTES:
2 openings.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
